Fidelity National Home Warranty refuses to cover leaking?
Hi. This is an emergency, and I really need someone’s help. I bought a condo 4 months ago, and my toilet plumbing leaked and made a bobble in my downstair unit yesterday. I called a plumber and he said the toilet french(?) was not leved and the tiles were installed above it and covered it, that’s why it leaked. The fidelity insurance, after got a report from him, called me and said it’s not covered because it was caused by improper installation. Their LImits of liability does say about that, but I’m in this condo for only 4 months, and this sounds really ridiculous that I have to pay $425 for the whole work! Can’t this type of leaking problem develops over time? Is this really because of an incorrect installation? What should I do to make the insurance company cover for this case?
Any advice is really appreciated. I have to get it within a couple hours.
