Where can I find help?
I live in Virginia Beach. My uncle lives in Louisiana. He was recently diagnosed with throat cancer and has been going through radiation 5 days a week then chemo once a week. He doesn’t have medical insurance and, as you can imagine, the bills are truely piling up.
My family back home is doing a small fund raiser for him in September but honestly, I know the people that will attend, and he won’t get much. I’m trying to put together a fund raiser up here. I know some people so I can have a few live performances, we have a Guitar Hero Battle planned and everything but I want a big turn out. I need a big turn out… Anyway.. How can I go about marketing this? Publicizing it? What more can I do to appeal to a bigger range of people? Are there any companies that I can get some donations from for the actual event and such? There’s a tax-return number and everything so it’s lagit. I just need some ideas and help. Thank you for whatever input you can give.
